6 pack hood??

Does anyone know if they are going to make the hood from the 440 six pack available on this car? aftermarket of course.....gk

My bet is someone probably will, that's the hood i'd like to see along with a modern version of a "T/A" rear spoiler.

If you're talking about the hoods that were available on the 70-71 440-6 cars then the only two that were available were the dual scoop hood (much like what the concept and production SRT8 have) and a Shaker.

"Shakers" wouldn't be possible in a non carburated engine.

But, would somebody explain how the "Functioinal Hood Scoops" work? In pictures where the hood is lifted, the Induction System runs down to the Driver's Side front fender.

Puzzled over here...

Well I had a '03 Mach 1 at one time....it sure had a Shaker and wasn't carbed....

The hood scoops on the SRT Challenger are not "ram-air" functional like those on the concept car. Instead, they will be like the ones on the Charger SRTs, merely blowing cool air over the engine and the manifolds.
