7.0 liter Hemi?

Hey everyone. I'm new to the site myself and I'm hoping to buy one of them Challengers when the time's right. Although I have a question to you all. I heard that there is going to be a 7.0 liter Hemi engine that is opposed to be the same performance level as the Corvette Z06. Is this true?

Hey Snake; welcome to Challengertalk ! There most probably is the mighty 7.0L aka 426 HEMI somewhere in testing, but nothing as yet in/on any Mopar production vehicle . This 6.1s that are out being used are already more powerful than ..what ?.. 96% of the vehicles currently on roads....to me anyways , that's darn good enough !!

You will probably see a 6.4 Hemi in a limited production model long before a 7.0 appears.

Dodge has been working hard to make this 525 hp crate engine street legal.

Oh but I thought the 6.4 is already like 500+HP unless I am wrong.

The 6.4 HEMI will be the standard engine in all SRT vehicles in the next couple of years, not just the Challenger. That being said, I'm pretty sure there will be something else in store for the top of the line Challenger at some point.
