Yip, yip, that's what I thoughting too ! They have a special V6 Pony Package model, but no horsey power listed and the high powered Shelby GT500KR which has 540hp and lists for $79,995 Ford Mustang 2009: Vehicle Comparison Printable Report | Ford Vehicles

I read the same thing about a 300 hp Ford V6 some months ago. They know they can do it but are concerned about market reaction to a 6 vs 8 cylinder engine. I hope they do it. I'd also love to see somehting similiar for the Challenger in the near future. For me 300 hp is quite enough for a daily driver. If they can boost the fuel efficiency that's gravy for the goose.
