Another R/T 6spd Arrival Date: Oct 1st (MN)

Dave Nolte called this morning to tell me we went to D1. The guys at Dodge of Burnsville have been great to work with. Always on top of things and first to call when something changes. So far, they are the only dealer in the state willing to sell under MSRP. Tell Dave you want the MnHotRod discount and he will split the difference between invoice and MSRP. That came to over $1400 in savings for me.

Thats not your arrival date. That is an estimate by the module Venthos uses.

Your arrival date will be the date that appears under "dealer delivery ETA"

I believe everyone in D1 has an estimated delivery date after Venthos made some changes, which really doesnt mean anything.

That is correct. I didn't realize it at first but there are two "modules" that run VINvision reporting services. They both show near identical information. The only difference seems to be that one almost always displays "N/A" for future event times and the other takes a guess at when those events will occur.

I updated VinWIN the other day to use the system that took a guess at those dates as it's more helpful than simply a "N/A". History has shown these dates are usually inaccurate, so I wouldn't count on them too much

Venthos - I'm glad you mentioned the two modules. A friend who works at the dealership gave me his DealerConnect info when I order my R/T back in May so I've had access to VinVision the whole time. When you came out with VinWIN I was comparing notes and I had those future dates on the info I was getting. My dealer got in their 1st R/T on 9/03. Just for kicks I got the vin off that car and pluged it into VinVision to see how long it took from D1 to delivered. It went D1 on 8/07 and was delivered to the dealer on 9/03. Interestingly the original ETA was 9/05 which showed up the first time I looked at it on VinVision. So it came in 2 days before the ETA and then they corrected the ETA after the car arrived to match the actual delivery date.

Go to Venthos's 8mb database and search for your dealer's name, there may be an 09 charger or 300 already built and shipped. run it's VIN thru the VINvision link in some other thread. (it's here somewhere, search for vinvision) It will show what day it went D1 and what day it was delivered. This will give you a ballpark for your own D1. I did one for my dealer and it went from D1 to delivery in 2 weeks. 10 days to build and 4 for delivery. I am closer to the factory, so it is trucked thru NY from Brampton.

Its nice to see the 6 speeds are starting to schedule, but id like to hear more about the SRT's moving as well. $1400 is a great amount of savings, good job on the deal
