Anticipated Quarter mile times?
Anybody have any roughly accurate numbers? My Charger SRT8 with the 3.0 rear end will run a 13.2-13.4s @ 106. What will this new rear end yield? Will it even make a difference? I would assume so!

Re: Anticipated Quarter mile times?
Unless you're magazine-racing, quarter miles times are really driver-dependent. Otherwise, the Charger's times are a good benchmark plus or minus a few tenths, at least until a magazine gets their hands on one.

Re: Anticipated Quarter mile times?
What's the Gearing on the Challenger vs the Charger. Assuming both in SRT8 Trim, if the gearing is identical, then, I would assume similar performance. They both weight about the same, and same Engine & Trans.
What are the Gear Ratios and Diff Ratio on the Challenger? LJB ![]() |

...plus another thing. The Charger has a longer wheelbase, which (theoretically) could plant it's torque more effectively than the Challenger, assuming similar Drivetrains.

Re: Anticipated Quarter mile times?
This is Hayabusa from SRT forums. I couldnt use that to log in. Is this a different server? If it is someone else already has the name so if anyone is posting under hayabusa it is not me:
By the way that quarter mile calculator is way off. If it were correct I would be running 10.83 in the quarter instead of 11.49. This one is much more accurate and I have checked it with tons of different cars. With the proper tires, gears, tranny, and of course driver it is usually accurate within less than 2 tenths 1/4 Mile ET Calculator Memphisblue /Hayabusa |

Re: Anticipated Quarter mile times?
Yeah, if they have the same 3.0x rear end then obviously it will be identical performance. I thought the challenger had a 3.93 or close to?
