Re: Any Spyshots, or Production Pics???

i doubt we'll ever see a cuda version. DC is trying to distance itself from anything plymouth, which can be seen from the amazing lack of mopar performance modded cudas at SEMA. from what i have heard on other boards, expect the 6.1L to be detuned to 400hp, and become the new mill in the R/T's (complete with MDS), and the 6.4L to become the SRT mill, pumping out 470hp.

i think with that lineup, they can maintain the current transmissions, without too many problems.

additionally, there's no reason to expect an SRT model in the first production year. so far, DC hasn't released an SRT model in the first production year of a model (with the exception of the Viper, which is only available as an SRT model).

consider all the models they have made SRT versions of: Ram, Neon, 300C, Charger, Magnum & Crossfire. i think the closest to SRT status was the charger, and even that was late availability.

also, although the challenger will probably look close to the concept model (and thus, very desirable), i doubt people will be willing to put down more than additional $2-3k for that look, before they start losing customers. remember the GTO expected 40k units, but between high prices and bland styling, they couldn't give them away.

The Dodge Caliber was optioned as an SRT not long after it was released.
