Man, This should not be a problem at all. I see over on the 300 forum folks pulling a lot more weight.

From reading if you keep the RPMs over 2800 the transmission will lock and you will not have any issue with the converter.

Heck some of those vehicles are pulling 16000 lbs with the proper tow bar setup.

Should be no problem with anything at close to 1000 lbs for the Challengers.

The boat only weighs 325 lbs and the trailer can't be more than 200. I'm not worried about overtaxing the brakes or transmission. Besides, I'm only towing about one mile each time I use it. We've got basically the same car as the 300 and I see people towing landscaping trailers, etc with those. My car is an auto so I'm withing Chrysler towing ratings. Mainly I wanted some info about the Mopar hitch and wiring kit.

Towing w/Challenger

Sorry if I rain on someones parade, but I've got a Hidden Hitch put on my '09' Auto Challenger. Towed a 2008 Harley Sportster on a 4 X 8 trailer (about 200 lb trailer I guess). Total weight was probably 800 or so lbs. I did probably 2000 miles from Phila, PA to Maggie Valley, NC, then all the way down the Blue Ridge Pkwy to Cherokee, NC, along the Great Smoky Mountains, along Rt 441 (the Snake), Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. Back up Rt 40 to rt 81 and back home. My baby never hiccupped once, never groaned, even up and down the mountains of NC and Tennessee. To answer your question, will it tow.... Damn right she'll tow!!! Go for it girl!
