Base price of Challenger does not include wheels!?

First of all: Happy Christmas to everyone. I have been a member of this forum for quite a while and have found it to be very informative. I tried searching about this but didn't find anything.
I am planning on ordering an R/T next spring. I used the Build and Price feature on the Dodge website. I was surprised to find that whatever configuration I tried, I ended up having to pay extra for wheels. The base price of the R/T is listed (in a small pop-up box) as $29,995, but at the same time, you are quoted a "net" price that includes an option of $1,095, plus destination, etc. That option is the wheels!
Is the Dodge Challenger R/T the only vehicle whose base price does not include wheels? LOL
When I used Build and Price several months ago for the 2012 vehicles, I am pretty sure that the wheels were not extra. Is this just a sneaky way for Dodge to avoid formally raising the base price of this model year over the last one? Or is the Build and Price feature not working properly?

The site's programming must screwed up. It's not letting you select the basic 18" wheels and tires...

I hope it is the website acting up but I'm not entirely convinced. That pop-up box shows a $1,095 option before you even start selecting anything.

It would be funny if a base R/T was delivered on cinder blocks.

I guess that's how Dodge is able to say it's the cheapest "muscle" car currently available. hah

LOL. I wouldn't mind too much as I don't like the available wheels and plan to buy aftermarket anyway. My only concern is whether I would miss the 3.92 axle that comes with the 20" wheels.

The Dodge build site has always been buggy. Car colors don't change, wrong options showing up (or not). Location search return results that are wrong even when an exact car to the one you just built is located at your local dealer. It's kind of like my car, Dodge built it, thought it worked, threw it out on a lot, sold it to me and found out it did not work right and refused to do anything about it.

Sounds like my experience with a 2002 Z28 Camaro.
