Re: Best way to learn manual transmission?

Mike those were some good vids, nice finds! It'll be cool if we can get some vids of each of the cars running.

Venthos, I usually am the same way haha. I try to drive like a sane person in town, but it never lasts....

Re: Best way to learn manual transmission?

Well, it's in. Just shot off an email to Bob to make the final changes to my order -- I'll be getting the 6-speed manual w/trak pak. Nonetheless -- I'd love to see some videos from you guys (NOTSURE / Kelsey73) if at all possible.

Re: Best way to learn manual transmission?

SWEET! I think you're really gonna like the six spd. I didn't get a chance to hook up with some buddies at lunch. I'll try for this weekend.

Re: Best way to learn manual transmission?

Good Move!
Ill take my video cam along tomorrow or Sunday with me to the track they have Ferrari's slated to run that day I should be able to find a nice quiet road along the lake shore to video from the inside the gears changes etc..
If my kid finishes his home work Ill have him along as well to film from outside.
Id say by Monday if all goes as planned I'll try to post a video for you.

Re: Best way to learn manual transmission?

Good choice, Venthos. I've kind of been able to experience both choices. I have a Charger SRT8 with the autostick, and I also own a 207hp supercharged Mini Cooper with a 6 speed manual. Initially I thought that 6 speeds would be a hassle, making you shift too much. It's not-it's the best way to handle the power, and is loads of fun (love chirping those front tires!) I just ordered my Torred 2009 Challenger SRT8 today from Don Conrad. Yeah, that thing's got a 6-speed.

thinking you won't regret that, especially once you get used to driving the car
