In Ontario and maybe some other provinces, but certainly not all.

I've been assured on a weekly basis that i am #1 on the list at my local dealership and that it will be for msrp (whatever that works out to be in Canada) but until I see the final contract and have the keys in my hand, I am not holding my breath.

the rest of the country should follow suit and make it illegal.

bah ! No need to worry - you have many 2 burn hahaha
I swear that when the time comes to order the '09 R/T 6 Speed , I shall fight for my rights all the way to the MSRP
I've negotiated a good deal with 7,000$ savings with my Mazda6 GT 2005 , but I'm afraid though , this time around with the highly demanded Chally - that no space for negociations will be alotted . As long as we don't go over CDN MSRP

haha the name was meant to be ironic and only after seeing it on posts did it dawn on me that some might think I am spoiled and rich. Even considering buying this car is hard, its a lot of money but I haven't had a new car since '95 and am currently sharing the wife's cheap older import.

I've got a few places I check daily for the release of the canadian msrp and as soon as I find something I will post it here, probably start a new thread for Canadian MSRP.

hahaha don't we all wish .... at least you get some to think you are (I was just being sarcastic lightly)

Ya it's a lot of money isn't it , but you know what - it's our golden chance to be in and own a piece of history like our forefathers in the '50's '60's & '70's .
Man I wished I wasn't only born in 1970 ! Best year of the Muscle Car btw heheh .
But I think I am living in the best time era with having a chance to see still what all those Muscle Cars look like from back then , then seeing them improved with today's technology in after market parts to those old sleds , and then to see the evolution of the '80's , '90's , Y2K_ , and now the Muscle Car Wars giving a rebirth to some of the best names .... I pray we relive those long-gone years with today's know-how !!!!

It cracks me up sometimes , being a Canadian , and seeing how Americans mention that 40K for a car of this package is too expensive .
I then compare what I paid my 2005 Mazda6 GT v6 mtx for a total all included of 35K flat ! I mean heck , that was with 0% purchase financing and transport / prep included !!! I ended up saving 7,000$ negotiated end of year deal on top of my 35K purchase price !!!

Sometimes I wish I was living/paid in the USA/USD . Even they complain about $1.50 for a gallon Gaz (= to 5 Canadian Liters) when we hot damn pay $1.10 for 1 flippin' Liter ONLY !!!!

Heck bring it on the price they are going to charge us for the Hemi Challenger , we only live once ! and I'm going to enjoy it most likely in this car .... hopefully it will make me nostalgic as when I sat in multiple Muscle Cars ! Problem is those Muscle Cars of the past are waaaaay too overpriced for what they are worth package-wise compared to the new breed and its technologies incorporated - truly a wonderful time to be alive !

Re: Beware: Orders are NOT guaranteed!

Well I just got back from the dealer and it was ugly. The owner, TIM GALVIN - MIRACLE CHRYSLER-DODGE-JEEP, 1290 NASHVILLE PIKE, GALLATIN, TENNESSEE 888-452-2792 told me that he personnally was getting the first car ordered. I asked him how I got ahead of him then, after all he is the owner of the dealership. He said I could have one of the three they have been allocated at the same price. I told him that he should get one of the other ones, after all he could do the same thing on any other order I placed. He said they do not know if they are going to get any. I told him mine is already in production, so they were sure to get mine! He said mine is the only one they have been allocated and they need it for the showroom floor. He then said I could have it if I paid him 10,000.00 more than our original agreed price. I asked him for the name of his lawyer and he told me that was none of my business and walked out of the room. I plan on taking the good advice I have read on this thread and punish this kind of behavior. If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.

Re: Beware: Orders are NOT guaranteed!

Either I would agree with him and say , OK , you want it on your showroom floor , but its still MY CAR THAT I ORDERED ! Oh and I will charge you 10,000$ for showcasing your floor ..... and I'd add ''My lawyer will get in touch with your lawyer !''

Don't let this die , get the last word and make him sweat !!!!

Re: Beware: Orders are NOT guaranteed!

you may also consider organizing a legal protest in front of the dealer, you and 10 or so of your best friends could provide a very public display of your displeasure. Make sure you have the correct permission from the appropriate state/local office.

You may also want to see if he has a BBB record, offer to help the public understand past complaints... of course, hope that if you actually get the car you never need it serviced at his dealership.

Re: Beware: Orders are NOT guaranteed!

If you have the time:

1) Contact Chrysler with a well-written letter
2) Contact the BBB
3) Stage an orderly protest on a Saturday afternoon
4) Contact a lawyer

This kind of behavior is not acceptable. It seems to me that you have an iron-clad contract. Make him pay for being an a*****e.

Re: Beware: Orders are NOT guaranteed!

Thanks for the information.

Just make sure any contract you sign is in writing and is well stated. When they took my money, I made sure that it was in writing that I would receive the 2nd black Charger SRT8 received.

How can a person find out the cars slated to be delivered to a locaiton? Is there a way I can tell if it is not the case above, besides camping out in the parking lot and 24hr survaliance?

Thanks,

AM
