Bob Frederick reports: Katzkin has fixed the color issue!!!

When Bob called me earlier today about my car, he also mentioned that after a lot of pestering by himself and Mark Mallie, Katzkin has released an APPROPRIATE "Hemi Orange" color for the Katzkin seats.

For those unaware, the Challenger Accessory brochures showing the Katzkin Seat colors ('08 showing orange, '09 showing red) are grossly inaccurate. We've already seen that the "orange" is a mustard/yellow orange and nowhere near the hemi orange color. Bob reported that the red doesn't come close to Torred either.

At first Katzkin basically shrugged their shoulders and said "That's the orange we have, sorry!". But after a ton of people (including myself) canceled their Katzkin seat orders and Bob Frederick/Mark Mallie got on Katzkin's tail about it, they've finally fixed the orange (Bob didn't mention the red, though. So I'm not sure on that). They have a new work order and everything to signify the new proper hemi orange seat color.

Bob will be ordering a set to verify that it's what it should be and that it looks great (I'll post pics as soon as I get them from Bob). I'll definitely be picking a set up.

So whether you guys ordered your car from Bob Frederick or not, you might want to take this opportunity to snag the Katzkins from Bob as soon as he can verify they're the real deal. I know I will.

Big thanks to Bob Frederick and Mark Mallie for pushing the issue hard with Katzkin until they remedied the problem.

I am very interested in the seats. Always liked the look of a black interior with orange inserts. Hope to see pictures soon.

Ugh... you're right. Them snows are going to set me back a lot especially if I go for the 20"s.... but I definitely want these at some point. Oh well, we'll see. If not now, definitely ordering'em from Bob in a few months.

Re: Bob Frederick reports: Katzkin has fixed the color issue!!!

Yeah!!! That's gonna be my first major mod to the interior. Dark grey leather, orange inserts, orange stiching, challenger r/t logo on the seat. Hell I might do front and rear seats!! Best interior mod in my opinion that money can buy for these cars. So glad that disgusting color is fixed. I love you guys on this site by the way for making info like this possible. God bless the internet!!

You can get 235/60-18 winter tires starting at about $130 (~$190 for the Blizzak). This circumference is almost the same as 255/45-20
255/45-20 = 91.2
235/60-18 = 91.4

That should be close enough for the car's computer. The 235's should bite better in the snow too.

Yep but I think they need 20" rims to clear the SRT brakes buddy? There are a few 18"s that may from what I have read too.
