Re: Brampton DC workers?? Seen anything???

I'm a copper in Ontario. My partner and I had occassion to speak at length with a front line supervisor from Brampton a few weeks ago. He said there is absolutely no info, nada. Not even rumours. He did say the project was being used as a bargaining chip in the contract talks and that's all anyone knows. He seriously doubts that any will be released this year. That's why I wonder how these dealerships can take money from potential clients. At least when I pre ordered my Harley I got a vin on the spot.

Funny tidbit, he was driving a Honda (it's his) so my partner, a die hard MOPAR man asked if he was allowed to park that in the lot at work. He is but he has to park at the back where nobody can see the car. Way to support your employer.

Yea, I had to go to Nissan Canada for some training (accross from Airport..over 401, Orbitor dr) and unless you had a Nissan you werent allowed to park up front. Mabye he was driving a Honda because they didnt offer him a discount? I know employees at DaimlerChrysler financial were offered Crossfires on a 1 yr lease for 243.00 a month insurance included. SRT-6 for 303.00 a month insurance included.

Yes,months ago I heard that DCX sent a memo around that essentially told everyone very sternly 'To Zip It' ! The line supervisor risks losing his job if 'leaks get out' : not even to "coppers" [ even if it would be getting out of a ticket or even being threatened with arrest ] ! I'm sure there could be a spy or two viewing our Challengertalk.com,which may very well have some DCX insiders ; so as we all know word travels very ,very fast these days.via the speed of the www ! P.S. by the way welcome to Challengertalk & can you design a "get out of jail card" for all to print out ? Shhh I won't tell !! !

Re: Brampton DC workers?? Seen anything???

Yeah, TurboAWD, I can understand auto companies having the policies re parking. Makes sense. But DC employees do get a serious discount on the vehicles. My buddies girlfriend works on the line there and she owns a Charger, a Ram Pickup and has every intention of owning a Challenger when they come out. The discount makes a HUGE difference. The guy we had stopped tried to tell my partner his other car is a 300m, my partner called bull**** on that.

Ragamuffin, if I could hand out get out of jail cards I'd be giving my brother one first. Kid's got one hell of a heavy foot, and he drives for a living to boot .

Oh yeah, we didn't ticket him, exercised discretion.
