Cahllenger SE?

Hi:

New poster here. I've ordered the SE yesterday, the first day orders where being accepted by Dodge. This prompts a couple questions. Was yesterday the first day orders for the SE Challenger? What are the estimated delivery dates of the Challenger?

Re: Cahllenger SE?

I guess he didn't what to set an expectation and have the date move. He did call me yesterday (Friday) and said that was the first day SE's could be ordered. I ordered all the options except block heater.

Re: Cahllenger SE?

Located in Lincoln, Nebraska. Any ideas on what the release, order and build cycle was for other platforms? It may give me an idea on when my vehicle will be built and delivered. I figure if they are accepting orders they are building the SE platform and I should see mine in 8 weeks or so.

Re: Cahllenger SE?

sorry but the SE's are not being built yet. The manufacturer is still building the 08 models as we speak. ONce those are finished, the R/T's will start up, with the SRT's next. Lastly the SE's will start production. So for you, i would say the earliest you would see your car is probably january. Unless some big changes are made. Like i said before, the R/T's and SRT's were mostly ordered on May 12, 2008 and none of those have began assembly yet. So we have a while to wait still.

Re: Cahllenger SE?

I'm not sure if the preliminary performance numbers have been officially released yet for the Challenger SE, I have not seen them listed anywhere. 0-60 in 7.8 seconds and 1/4 mile in 16 seconds.

Re: Cahllenger SE?

Sounds Like I'll be getting a late Christmas gift! Anyhow, I ordered the Titanium color with 2 tone leather seats and otherwise loaded. It likes like the 3.5 engine has some power to be reckoned with? Not top of my though as I hope the gas mileage is 26 highway. I've got a Jeep Liberty now and I'm lucky to see 20mpg. Jeeps in general have crappy gas mileage.

Dont get too excited over the gas milage in the 3.5L. Most of us only get 1-2 MPG better than the 5.7L.
