Can I change colors in BX status?

I ordered my black R/T in late June. In mid July I changed the color to Titanium and then a week later I changed it back to black.

I know... I'm indecisive. Anyway, my dealer seemed pretty annoyed with me, but my order status has not changed since going to BX status.

Now that the press embargos are up, I'm seeing pictures in Titanium and liking them.

As of this morning I'm still BX, can I change the color again? Would it bump me from getting scheduled any time soon?

thanks!

Re: Can I change colors in BX status?

I hear ya about being indecisive.

Bob had to change my order 3 times within a matter of 2 weeks or so once the order initially went in. The first was to add SRT Option Group II since no one really knew the true options until the order date rolled around, the second to drop the Sunroof, and the third to switch to the 6-Speed manual.

While I still felt bad for pestering Bob so much - if your dealer really cares about your business, they'll change your order. To my understanding (at least in statuses like BA/BG/BX/etc.) it's just a matter of going into their dealer system and editing the order. Bob mentioned on RLD that if the dealer cared enough and called the right people, it could still be changed even in C status. So you should be fine to change at BX. I think at least 2 of the changes I had done were while I was in BX status.

As for being allocated, that's entirely on your dealer. Your dealer receives specific allocations for cars with specific trims (and sometimes specific options) and they get to choose what cars they want allocated as long as it fits the criteria for whatever they received an allocation for. The only potential effect you could have on your order is if you changed your order out to something that is not being allocated right now for one reason or another. To my knowledge, there are no color issues right now so no reason your car would be delayed for a given color.

Re: Can I change colors in BX status?

My dealer didn't have a problem changing the order from black to torred in BX status. Should be a minor inconvenience considering the amount of easy profit they're going to make off your purchase.
