M2B Good memory. I was hoping for black, but you know how it is, with my dealer anyway, they were only ever going to receive one, and they didn't know which color they were getting. I thought black was awesome on this car, but I'm not real disapointed in the Hemi-orange. I havn't had time to look at the other sites, (Working long hours out here, offshore), but when my wife was having my truck serviced the other day, the dealer had just come from a local reveal (Halifax) of the Chally,(I'm SSSOOO disapointed I missed it) and that was the info. he came back with also, and told my wife. "All Canadian 08 Chally's will be Hemi Orange". I didn't put much stock in it , so I didn't post it.
I'm just glad I now have at least a rough idea when I'm getting it, and Hemi-Orange is sweet too !! The only one I would have turned away would be the grey, so I'm HAPPY !!

Re: Canadian Info

Glad you're up for the Orange. Like you I would really have had a problem with the silver but would have taken Black if thats all the dealer got. As one who was asking for Orange, I am very happy that its what I am getting. Although it wouldn't have hurt my feelings if they made both colors (black and orange) because each would be a little more rare but having all the Canadian "500" Challengers in Orange will be pretty cool.

Maybe the next surprise is that they're putting a 6.4 in ours with some extra goodies that also increases our gas mileage.

Yeah, exactly "both colors " would be cool, and I don't strictly believe that they are making orange only for Canada, just because the Dealer tells me this. Like you, I'm happy with my dealer to this point. Answers every call//My car's coming at MSRP// helpful in every way he knows how to be// But he's been wrong before on some things, and , we'll see what the end result is.
I'm pretty sure your last sentence will be right though."6.4 in ours with some extra goodies that also increase gas mileage." ( It took me a while to stop rolling around on the floor LOL a long time !!) That was good. My aching stomach !!
Are they giving you any info. on delivery for yours at all? Because we should be pretty close ?

Re: Canadian Info

nope. in that sense they're not saying anything and I believe its because they really don't know. Originally I had heard they were going to make all the US models first then switch to the Canadian ones, but now I hear that they'll start mixing in some canadian ones about half way through the US production.

Given the short production time of 6-8 weeks before they plan to shut down and set up for 09's (someone posted a shift calendar a while back) it doesn't really matter which timing is right. If the car gets here in late June I will be ecstatic, but if it doesn't arrive until mid July I am ok with that too. Given the dates on the calendar that was posted we should have them all by mid to late July for sure.

Re: Canadian Info

Not sure what to make of this. I live in Winnipeg, and didn't actually see anything myself; I'm just passing along some info.......

My wife's patient spotted a new Challenger with Ontario plates today, on a car hauler. It was at CanadInns on Lagimodiere, if you know the area. He got photos, and my wife asked him to post it on his Facebook page, so I'll link to it when I can if anyone is interested.

Perhaps it's the show-car model?

Darren

Re: Canadian Info

Here they are.....all 4 photos. Note the Ontario plates. Again, I'm in Winnipeg. These photos were taken yesterday, May 12-08. Those that know these cars - what are we looking at? Any clues?

Thanks

Darren
