Re: Canadian Info

Ok so now I have something more official, not good but official.
I have msrp and wholesale cost (exlcuding holdbacks) for a Canadian 2008 Challenger.

The msrp numbers are as follows:
44,995 + 1,300 delivery + 3,000 greenTax + 2,000 for the "500" label = $51,295 msrp
Tire upgrade is free
MyGig + 1,100
Sunroof + 1,075
=================
total msrp with options = $53,470.00
that means that where I live with sales tax incl (if dealer doesn't gouge) I need to shell out: $58,817.00

wholesale price, with all options = $50,166.00

Re: Canadian Info

Ouch! That is high for a Challenger. I'd pay it, but still that's getting up there.

Re: Canadian Info

Sadly 425Hp, I am inclined to agree with you.
Breaks my heart but its just not worth it. (almost 50% more than the same car sold in the US)

I'm hopin' to god my sources are way off on this one, but I seriously doubt it.
SHlT!

yea thats not cool. If you can, id wait till they hit the market and buy one used. It sucks, but it sounds like a better route to go. Maybe thats why dodge was gonna penalize the dealers in the US for selling to canada.

Re: Canadian Info

Yeah, I think you're right about the penalties.

but nope on the used one. For me it was a new 08Srt8 or nothing.
I don't need a car, would never use it as a daily driver because of where my work is and am not naive enough to think a car is a good investment. I just wanted it because I wanted it, mostly cause it would be the first, it would be a little unique but thats it.

again, I sure hope I am wrong. I guess I will get a call from my dealer in a month or so and know for sure.
