Ahhh, yahhh,but I believe it was Canada's 'Money2Burn' [ which you'll need to afford one] replies on another thread that the $56K was more accurate due to Canada's GST,another tax, and one other "fee" !!! Y-ahh ; here : Mi Amigos ,un 2008 Dodge Challenger : pro Usteds !!!

Re: Canadian Info

44,995 base msrp
2,000 mandatory extra msrp for "500"
1,300 shipping
3,000 gas guzzler tax (might only be $1,800)
1,100 myGig
1,075 sunroof
(we don't get to choose options, we get what we are given so it could include
both)
=========
$53,470 before dealer gouge and taxes
+ 2673 gst
+ 2673 sales tax
=========
$58,816 is what it will cost to drive it away.

Re: Canadian Info

The name money2burn is how I feel a person must be to buy a car these days, but I certainly don't have money to burn! A small part of me is hoping I am wrong, but I've given up hope otherwise and just can't bring myself to call my dealer and get my deposit back until I am 100% sure that the price is what I think it is.

Re: Canadian Info

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum. Sorry if I have hijacked the thread but I have a question for you fellow Canadians.

Has anyone been able to order a 09 model yet? I have been to 3 different dealers in my area and none of them have any info on the 09 model.

I was hoping to order a 09 SRT8 6 spd. before they all sell out. (due to limited build #'s)

One dealer said he had no clue what is happening with the 09 model. The 08 model they have coming in has been sold for $70,000.

The other dealer also had no idea whats happening with the 09 model and they too are getting a 08 model, but it has been sold. He wouldn't say for how much.

I was told by the last dealer that the 09 SRT8 will be much like their 08 model.
5 star dealers will be given 1 or 2 of them and they will be going up for auction to the highest bidder.

I would like to get a 09 SRT8 at MSRP but if I can't then I guess I will settle for a R/T.

Any info you could pass along would be much appreciated.

you would be very lucky to get any info on a 09 seeing as how the canadians dont have any info on the 08's. You guys should be catching up to us soon though. I cant see any reason for chyrsler to keep putting you guys off.

And welcome to the forums Diablo. Nice to have ya.

Re: Canadian Info

auto123.com is showing the following info for Canadian pricing.
Since it includes GST and PST (provincial sales tax) maybe that means that the green/gas tax is included in msrp? that makes a difference.

It bring the car down to $50,579 before taxes.
and with all of you who've already seen it saying its better in person maybe its worth that much??? Arrgghh.. what to do, what to do. Still 50 is still about 7-8 grand more than the american price and that just irks me! what to do what to do...

Re: Canadian Info

I would give $50k a thought. Nothing more than that though. Its a great car, and i know it will be fun to drive just like my charger. But that is kind of steep. I hope the prices for you guys are just a hoax, and its alot lower. How much is the MSRP for a Charger SRT anyway?

Re: Canadian Info

last time I checked a couple months ago, a charger srt8 fully loaded was somewhere between 42 and 46 + tax. so about 4-6 grand cheaper.
