Re: Canadian Info

What dealer? Did your dealer have the options list for the 09 R/T?

The dealer said to expect the car at the end of September/ beginning of October.

I can't wait.
wow, thats great. Glad to see the canadians are finally getting their share.

The dealer is Kelowna Dodge Jeep. I couldn't tell you if he had the options list for the R/T because I was only interested in the SRT8. He did give me a build sheet which has all the options listed and the codes, so I assume they have the options list for the R/T.

Re: Canadian Info

Ok, so I visited my local dealer and the saleswoman basically broke down some of the options for the "auto" R/T, which I've posted below;

HID's = $775
Sound Group II = $670
Power sunroof = $1,175

Hood stripes = $200

Missing is the optional 20" rims, forgot how much the option was and the mygig navigation package. The total with the options above came out to just under $40,000. Interesting thing she mentioned was Chrysler hasn't mentioned anything about leasing for the Challengers and she thinks you won't be able to lease these cars like how you can't lease the Vipers. Sounds very bizarre to me that Chrysler wouldn't offer any leasing on these cars but stranger things have happen.

Re: Canadian Info

BTW, if nobody noticed. you can now build the challenger on the canadian website. but for some reason the only option you can add is the kicker. there is no checkbox to add the navigation. maybe they still got a few bugs to work out.

anyway, fully loaded comes out to about 51,000$

Re: Canadian Info

I just went to my dealer and he did the SRT8 up on the computer and with no options and all the taxes in, the cash price to deliver was $60,220. Sounds too high for my liking.

well he is screwin you by the sounds of it. im not sure how he gets that number?? i built one on the site last night. and it came to just under 51,000$ but it didnt have the option for the NAV. so even if the NAV was crazy expensive, and the total cost was say 53,000$ even with your 5% GST. its still only 55,650$ i dont know if you guys pay PST over there too?? but i cant imagine you would pay 5g worth on a new car.

go to dodge.ca and build one yourself. then bring in the printout to a dealer. and say WTF??

EDIT: i forgot that there might be 1300$ still need to be added for the destination charge. but thats still only 58,000$

either way, i dont think $2000 would be enough to make me change my mind. we already knew this car would be anywhere from 55-60k. thats the price of fun nowadays i guess.

Re: Canadian Info

The price included the 2000 gas tax and 1300 destination and 5% gst and 8%pst. It all adds up and climbs in a hurry.

Re: Canadian Info

wow, i thought our car was expensive. That really is a bummer. I couldnt imagine paying 60k for this car unless it came with a supercharger
