I was talking to a dealer here in Alberta Canada outside my current home town, he was going on and on about how much guys are paying for the new cars... told me the 09 I wanted with no sunroof, 6 disc and the 13 speaker stereo, with a manual he could sell it to me for 55000... and he was giving me a deal... curious to see what the dealer in my home town could do... I went down and talked to the manager, he said for the I wanted it would be right around 50 grand.... guess I know where I'm buying from...

Yeah,your home town dealer is asking MSRP and that's fair right now for a '09.
It's what I got from my dealer no haggling.

I emailed the dealer that I had been talking to about my home town dealer getting 08's this week and that they are selling their challengers at MSRP... he right away asked if they were all sold cause his dealership would buy them and charge more for them... Told him they were sold... then asked if this gouging was just for the 08 cause the 09 he priced me was $49,095 on the website for dodge and he was telling me $55,000.... there has been no reponse.... HA...

Ordered it today... 09 srt8, hemi orange, 6 spd, srt2, no sunroof, 255 on the back... now the wait.....

i ordered my Challenger last week....2009 R/T in Deep Water Blue with every option except sunroof....price came to a little over 41K CAD including freight and A/C tax....i am in BA status with a VON.

I pick up my car in the morning.
But I have a question. I had a dealer (Not mine) tell me that the last 3 numbers of the VIN are the sequenced number out of 500 that the car was built. I'm pretty certain that I saw a thread somewhere, that said more than 500 were made (741? comes to mind). The last 3 numbers of my VIN are 594, so I'm confused. Anybody know anything about this ?
