General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
My father in law was staying with us over Xmas. He saw my car for the first time and called it a Charger. He wouldn't even take a good look at it and he claims to be a car guy.
No offense, but your father-in-law sounds like a d!ck.
In all fairness, the side profile of the Challenger is very similar to the Camaro. And the people that call them Chargers likely just don't care about cars or the differences between them. In either case, they're probably the type of people who would rather drive a Camry than anything else.
Usually I just say "I don't want to bother talking to you because you don't know what it is." that shuts them up pretty quickly.

At the risk of being accused of heresy, I think the Challenger resembles the old Camaros just a bit; especially to someone who doesn't know a lot about cars.

I had a young guy in a car yell at me at a light....."nice Charger". I yelled back at him, "dude, your in a Charger". He said "I know, I love it too". What just happened?
