Funny. I get the same crap from friends/co workers, "Oh when did you get a Charger?"

I reply, "I didn't" and wait for the next response.

No offense, but your father-in-law sounds like a d!ck.

In all fairness, the side profile of the Challenger is very similar to the Camaro. And the people that call them Chargers likely just don't care about cars or the differences between them. In either case, they're probably the type of people who would rather drive a Camry than anything else.

Usually I just say "I don't want to bother talking to you because you don't know what it is." that shuts them up pretty quickly.

At the risk of being accused of heresy, I think the Challenger resembles the old Camaros just a bit; especially to someone who doesn't know a lot about cars.
