Challenger Convertible on Car & Driver

Well I got two bits of great news today. My 6 speed R/T is in I status!!! The other news is that my friend at the Dodge dealership called this morning to ask me if I had seen the cover of the new Car & Driver. I have not. But he said there is the most beautiful Hemi Orange 2010 Challenger Conv on the cover. He says that Dodge plans to have them out in the spring of 09. If any one has a copy and can post the pictures we would love to see them. I went to Barnes & Noble this morning and the new issus is not on the stands yet. Guess I'll be back on this web site following the order of my Convertible in about a year.

Re: Challenger Convertible on Car & Driver

I just found the photo of the convertible on the Car & Driver website. I don't have the magazine yet so I don't know if there are more pics but the one they have looks suspicious to me. Could be a picture of a hardtop doctored up to be a conv. Need more info.

Re: Challenger Convertible on Car & Driver

OK I just got the text of the article. It is a doctored photo and there is no info from Dodge saying that they will build the car. It's just more speculation. When I got the call from the Dodge dealer this morning you would have thought it was a sure thing by the way he described it. I should have known better. I always get breaking news either here on this forum, or at allpar. Sorry about the false alarm.

I didn't alter the picture. Not sure if they did though. I found it on the Car & Driver site.

2010 Dodge Challenger Convertible - Car News/Future Cars: 2010 and Beyond/Car Shopping/Hot Lists/Reviews/Car and Driver - Car And Driver

I believe they will come out with the convertible next fall or in 2010 so as to compete with the Camaro.
