In reading the automotive section of the January 14, 2007 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the "Auto Sleuth" reported the following:
"Chrysler contemplates Challenger cousin: Just in time for a full-on revival of rear-wheel drive, Chrysler is moving ahead with plans to produce a rear-wheel drive coupe...It seems Chrysler has approved plans for such a vehicle, which would be the sister vehicle to the Dodge Challenger coming in 2008. Chrysler will show hints of a rear-drive coupe at the Detroit auto show this January when it unveils is Nassau concept, a four-door with a roof designed to give it a coupe-like appearance...The sketch of the Nassasu concept is interesting, but if Chrysler is looking for a great rear-drive coupe design, all it has to do is put the (2005) Firepower concept into production. To make the Firepower viable, however, Chrysler would most likely have to offer a base V6 with "Hemi" V8 power as an option."
When, I initially read the words "Challenger cousin," I immediately thought of the 'Cuda.

But, for now, it looks like Chrysler will be making a 2-door luxury coupe to replace the 300C. Does this mean that the Challenger will be getting a new chassis???
