Challenger NASCAR - Hmmmmmmmm...

I'd love to see Dodge dump the Charger NASCAR and go with the Challenger instead. The Charger is one of the ugliest car designs I've seen since the Nash Rambler!

Nascar would never use a Challenger, and if they did, They would ruin the bodystyle and it would just be another aerodynamic car and have round painted on headlights.

I think NASCAR's a joke as "stock" car racing. I still watch it a little, if just for the wrecks, but you really can't easily distinguish Chevy from Ford from Dodge. They say it is all about the driver -- if so, put 'em on lawn mowers. You could have Honda vs. Murray vs. Sears.

I agree 100%!! Would love too see the challenger in Nascar,...and that other thing they should have named an intrepid gt or something!!

The rumor was was thatthe Bucsh series would use all pony cars; Challengers, ****stangs, and Cameros. I wouldnt mind watching that, just to cheer on my next car.

They wouldn't look anything like they do now. Nascar always redesigns the body style to be more aerodynamic. The Nascar Charger doesn't have the flat shaped front end on the real Charger. Its more Intrepid like and rounded. A Challenger would look like the Charger, with round headlight stickers. The Mustang wouldn't look that good either, Or the Camaro. Nascar changes the bodystyle too much and these cars aren't 'round' enough to be in Nascar. and They would be rounded if they were, Which would defeat the purpose of putting them in nascar altogether.

All Nextel Cup cars are the same thing under the decals and paint jobs. They are the same weight within pounds, the same aerodynamics, even the same basic motors. It has been that way for years and will be more so in the future. NASCAR doesn't really need manufacturer participation because it is all them. The pony cars will,I'm sure, have their own series of some kind, probably on road courses and it will be great.
