Re: Challenger NASCAR - Hmmmmmmmm...

NASCAR is still working on "The Car of Tomorrow" - where every driver WILL be driving the exact same car. It would be awesome if the Challenger (and latest round of pony cars) managed to ignite interest in a new, REAL stock racing series.

I like NASCAR - but it's nowhere near "stock" car racing. Now it's "who can throw the most money at development and cheating" racing. But hey, it's still fun to watch. (I'll be at the Brickyard next month! )

Re: Challenger NASCAR - Hmmmmmmmm...

NASCAR Busch/Cup is a sedan based series, no two door coupes allowed so the Chally will never be there. Thank god, that series is terrible. It is like the others have fore mentioned a Spec series now unlike the old days when you could really tell what car was what. Its all BS marketing.

BRING BACK TRANS-AM RACING !!!

This seems or is very strange :to me anyways ! Based on a sedan ;Why is that ? I don't understand, as four doors are not going to be opened [ and any doors I thought had to be welded [ i.e the General Lee in the Duke Boys !]...plus there's only the driver in there anyways !!!

Re: Challenger NASCAR - Hmmmmmmmm...

Busch IS currently sedan based, but they've been CONSIDERING the possibility of changing that rule in a couple years, based on the soon-to-be-arriving new ponycar wars... Mustang vs Camaro vs Chally... If it weren't for the fact that they butcher the cars and make them all the same, (as many have already said), that would ALMOST be cool...

Re: Challenger NASCAR - Hmmmmmmmm...

i wouldnt be thrilled to see the pony cars in nascar, its all about making the cars more aerodynamic and crap, it'll just ruin the look of them, the technology has changed too much, the cars from 1970 cant race competitively in 2008.
