here ya go, this is copied from allpar.com

If you get an auto with the 3.06 or a stick with the 3.91 it is basically the same for the frist two gears.

here is the breakdown for the auto:
1st gear x 3.06 rear = 10.9854 torque factor
2nd gear x 3.06 rear = 6.70 tq factor

now the stick
1st gear x 3.91 rear = 11.612 tq factor
2nd gear x 3.91 rear = 8.21 tq factor

The small difference in the tq factors would not be noticed. now if you swapped the rear in the auto to a 3.23 you would be within tenths of each other.

Re: Challenger R/t 0-60

I hope I am wrong for R/T buyers. I know in the Chargers it was 2.82 with the 5.7.

Re: Challenger R/t 0-60

i think you are right go goody, but i thought i read somewhere that the challenger and future lx's are getting the new LSD rear and 3.06 gears. I could be wrong though.

Re: Challenger R/t 0-60

Geez, the car I drive now can consistently do 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds , I'm hoping the R/T would at least do mid 5's.

yea the rev limit in the SRT is 6400, but thats mainly due to the springs. If you get a new set of heads with better valve springs you can run it up towards 6700. Im not 100% sure of the R/T rev limit, but i think it is 5700
