Re: Challenger Slide Show

Did you notice that the 2009 SRT had a carbon fiber hood stripe? I thought the 2009s were flat black.

Also, I heard a rumor that the 2009 SRT run will be limited to only 3,600 cars. If true, that makes the 2009s more "limited" than the 6,400 2008s.

I bet (if it's true) that means that is only the "first wave" of SRT's. Then they will catch up on SE's & R/T's, then make more SRT's. But you never know.

Re: Challenger Slide Show

I read in the August Mopar Muscle mag. that the Hemi Orange was only available for the '08 SRT's... HEMI Orange would only be available on the R/T and SE in'09

Re: Challenger Slide Show

Hemi Orange was extended to '09 SRT and RT's for the people that ordered an '08 but couldn't get a car. (Thanks to the greedy dealers ordering under fake names, but I digress.) I don't think Dodge ever planned to release the SE in Hemi Orange.

Re: Challenger Slide Show

Hemi-orange was extended to all 2009 SRTs. However, they will probably not take any additional orders after December.

Thanks for the link. I noticed the stripes and just assumed I was looking at an 08. I think thats why I am OK with the Orange being offered in the 09's. The 08's are still exclusive with the "carbon fiber" hood stripes.

I am OK with limited as long as they make enough for the customer pre-orders.

It's possible that the interior is from a different challenger, but if not, then it has to be an 09 because it's manual. Weird if it is, because the 09's are supposed to have a matte black stripe.

Re: Challenger Slide Show

very nice. Thanks for the pics cuda. id rather have the matte black stripes. Vinyl carbon fiber looks way too cheesy for my taste
