Re: Challenger Tires

From what I've heard from a DCX rep. while at the Carlisle show he said one inch smaller in dia. front and rear. That would make the rears 20 inches and the fronts 19 inches. Is it me, or is anyone else sick of the way "low profile" tires look? I know, they handle better. But I would take a set of "60" series tires on 15 inch rims anyday over the stuff they have out today. I'll just slow down to 90 mph before I turn!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Challenger Tires

i hope the front tires are smaller than the back to give the chally an agressive stance.

A 225? Are you going for all tire spin and no traction? My SRT-4 has 225 on it and I dont get any traction. Anything smaller then a 255 is crazy, and thats still pretty small for the amount of power this thing should be puttin out.

Here are the 'Challenger' concept specs...including its tire/wheel sizes. I'm sure that the production model will see more appropriate sizing in order to avoid the tire rubbing issues currently being experienced by the concept's present tire/wheel configuration.

No problem Moparian...

I'm just glad that I was able to help. Personally, I'd like to see at least P245/45ZR20 up front and P255/45ZR20 on the rear...maybe even a bit wider. I've always installed the widest tires possible on most of my vehicles throughout the years, and the new 'Challenger' should fit that mold nicely.

Re: Challenger Tires

I'm sorry to say if the car comes with gang banger/rapper style wheels, those will be the first thing to go. Old school with this one, a modern Cragar or Torque Thrust with raised white letter BFGoodrich T/A radials.
