General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
Here are some pictures while the car was on the lift during the PDI at the dealership. These are from my 2009 SRT six-speed. Being a gearhead I always like to see what's "under the covers" on my cars so I thought some of you would enjoy these. I have more if you're interested but I can only upload five at a time.
One of the most interesting parts to me was the x-pipe and h-pipe combination on the exhaust. I've normally seen one or the other but not both at the same time. Also, the driver's side half shaft is a large hollow tube while the passenger side is a small diameter solid piece. Kind of interesting to see what goes into making these things go.
pretty sweet under there isnt it . I too thought H and X pipe ?? The first time I saw the rear half shafts I said somebody messed up but thats how they come . Also its cool your Challenger was on a Challenger lift in the first pic
That X pipe isn't real. Maybe the H pipe is open inside. Interesting about the half shafts. I wonder if the hollow one is stronger since it is larger in diameter?
Thanks for posting the pictures - I'm going to do a swaybar changeout (rear susp. subframe must be lowered), I can see the rear diff has a broad, flat bottom for the floor jack to support it with.
Very helpful.

The car has a special lift for it??? Where are the jack points. Is it critical to line up the car correctly before lifting on that special designed "Challenger Lift"?
does that lift just happen to be called "challenger lift" or is it one specially made for the challenger?
probly a stupid question, i know, but i just want to be sure when i go to change my oil the first time with a floor jack that i dont mess anything up if it calls for a special lift.
You can use a floor jack. There are jack points under the car that are to be used. There is a small oval shaped hole at the points. This is probably for a special fitting on a lift.
