Re: Challengertalk.com Merchandise

I've wondered about this some time ago! Have you or anyone contacted/pm'd Ekool for his input.I'm not sure if he and/or whomever owns Challengertalk and its logo would have to grant permission; most likely ! There could be a limited general Challengertalk.com merchandise [i.e. hats,T-shirts [in all sizes from little girls & boys up to our Senior Mopar Citizens]: perhaps even personalized T-shirts with a members choice to have their Avatar [of choice] silk-screened /imprinted onto that !!!

Oh man, I just thought of something too, maybe even the word Challenger or the way the word Challenger is written in the logo like the original badge might be a copyright violation. Y does this remind me of whenever the Three Stooges would get a job?
LOL

Yeh-yahhh, another good/valid point. Yes, I presume Challengertalk had to obtain Chrysler's permission to use the OEM writing of the nameplate [which even the 3 stooges know would be a copy-right infrigement of the copywright ] !!!! yoik-yoik

Re: Challengertalk.com Merchandise

LOL, I still think it's a great idea though and was just tryin to look out for everybody. I bet with the wide variety of backgrounds of the members of this Forum and how cool and helpful people r here that it can be done, including probably getting some free legal advice from people a lot more knowledgeable about that kinda stuff then me. Coffee mugs would b cool too. Like we were sayin on another thread, here the members' resourcefulness and willingness to help others are some of the reasons y this is the coolest Forum around. If not, then we could always contact the Law offices of Dewey, Cheatem, & Howe.

Re: Challengertalk.com Merchandise

Chrysler owns the trademark "Challenger" insofar as it relates to the car, but they don't have any legal claim to "challengertalk.com". Unless, of course, they own this site. In any event, whoever does own www.challengertalk.com probably has an implied trademark on the phrase. I'm pretty sure that's possible, though I'd have to check with a PTO lawyer to be sure, and that's frankly too much work. In any event, whoever owns the site ought to just set up a shop at CafePress: Unique, custom t-shirts & gifts to express yourself, upload some art, and let people make shirts, hoodies and coffee mugs to their heart's content. The profit could be used to support daily operation of the site, much as vendor's fees are. Nice thing on cafepress is that no actual money has to be laid out to make the product- it's all one-offed as people place orders. Not the most efficient way to go, but better than someone being stuck with 240 extra 'small' shirts that they ordered but can't sell.
