Did you install a Skip Shift Eliminator? There's a $20 quick fix to this problem. Do a search for Skip Shift Eliminator and get one ASAP. Best cheap mod you can do.

All of the guys that have had this happen to them are SRT8 6-Speeds. I'm also wondering if they are different clutches than the R/T... I wouldnt think so but I found it odd that only he SRT8's are experiencing this. My R/T has almost 5k miles on it and I drive it hard ever day. I'm a little woried now. I did my first mini-burn out at about 450-500 miles. Does anyone know the final price for the Spec clutch & flywheel?

On a side note this seems to be an isolated incident. I think we've got like 4 guys now with this problem? Maybe its just a defect in those clutches. 4 out of I don't know how many thousands of clutches failed? I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope its just a defect.

Kobaal, you may be on to something. With the SRT, it may not even be clutch-related, it could be brake-related. If somehow the brake fluid, setup or even fluid temp on the SRT is different than the RT, and it's preventing the clutch from fully releasing causing slippage...

I will tell you one thing that I did right away was to disable the Hill Start assist. It holds the brakes for about a second or two and you do need to rev it a tad more to get the car to move when the HSA is active. I was worried that it might cause unecessary slippage. I don't need HSA been driving manual trannys for years.
Good Luck Moondog, I hope it comes back to you better then new

I've got about 3,500 miles on my R/T 6-spd and not having any issues. Please forgive me but I have some questions; is 'slipping' the clutch the slow release/engagement of the clutch pedal at low RPM's and is 'dumping' the clutch the opposite?...the quick release of the clutch pedal at high/higher RPM's? I have done both at times to either 'ease' into or 'ease' off my forward movement (slipping the clutch?) when I have some ahole in front of me who must obviously be scared of movement/driving and/or I'm wanting to test my speed shifter and whip my R/T into action with smoke/speed and attitude. Aside from vibration at the higher RPM's (read this as I'm too slow on the shift and my ride is complaining) I am not experiencing anything but glee and joy. I am extremely sorry for the issues you're having...I'm not a professional driver or mechanic but I work hard for my money and when I spend it on a 'modern muscle' car; this kind of crap should not happen at all! Good luck and God bless'ya man, keep us posted and hey, I was born and lived as a child in Buffalo, NY (Elma actually)! Lookin forward to going back north again some day and visiting...that's some beeautiful country...miss it...

Yes it is in the manual. It is as easy as scrolling through the personal settings in the EVIC and selecting off or disable.

Moondog, I hear that they are almost done or finished with your SRT, I was at Fredericks on Tuesday I saw it in the bay and met Jack he's one sharp mechanic, I'm picking up my new 6 speed on Friday afternoon are you coming in to pick yours up and what day? We will have excellent weather starting today and all weekend 75 to 78 and sunny.
