Y-ahh hippies for sure [ I can attest ] but probably for Mopars too out of jealousy at the least : and if a Hippie then the cop considers that a double whammy and accordingly will try to write as many tickets or worse as possible. What I call a triple whammy so they can tow your vehicular i.e. Roscoe Purvis Coltrane and his deputy Flash >.. Like Dragnet too !! !!!!

Yes, very, but we hat to not let Deputy Flash know ;as well as the competition. See, it'd be different if Challengertalk.com was without the .com and just a secret club and/or sworn to secrecy. I'm just wondering if Ford would've built or be building their KR Mustang if they hadn't known the Challenger Concept and production were realities [ and GM's Camaro too]? Of course some might say the same about DCX for how long has the Mustang revision been !

Re: C'mon, Dodge, throw us a bone

And now the ads about not having any competition. Gotta say that KR is bad ass! Don't like the idea of forced induction however. How American, a muscle car war right in the middle of gas price increases. God, I love this country! The cool thing is that unlike the 70's there is no reason these cars can't get mid to high 20 mpg. Especially with manual trannys. I wonder if the Charger and Magnum will get 6 speed options. I hope the Challenger has a very long life. This car should be a staple, like the Corvette!

It's gonna be 2 years before i'm ready to buy.

I hate GM, but i've always loved Vettes and Buicks. Buick no longer exist except for a name slapped on a Crappillac or chebby.

Therefore, Dodge had better get their butts in gear or they are gonna lose me too.

It needs 500 hp and to be available in a convertible with LOTS of color choices including pistol grip manual shifter, and for under $40,000.

Re: C'mon, Dodge, throw us a bone

I grew up with GM and had numerous A-body cars. several trucks, and a 1970 Toronado GT. I'll never buy another new GM vehicle.

For me, it's either the Challenger or a Mustang. I much prefer the Challenger. However, I don't forsee a 500hp convertible coming in below $40K. I bet the 500hp coupe will be close to $50K. Add $10K or more for the ragtop, if it even gets built.

My biggest gripe is how the OEMs make you take equipment you don't want by bundling stuff up, or making it standard. For instance, if you get an SRT, you have to get leather. I'd rather order escatly what I want, like the old days. I know the UAW doesn't like that and it's a PITA to try to keep track of each car, but if Mini can do it, anyone can do it.

You can get a ridiculous combination of options on a Mini. I had one Ford and it was a serious piece of crap. I really like the Mustang, good list of options too, but it is a Ford.

I would prefer cloth over leather but I bet that won't happen.

The time for the UAW has past, they are squeezing the life out of the American Car manufacturers. It's a damn shame!

Re: C'mon, Dodge, throw us a bone

I agree with the 2 posts above.I do not like leather ;as well as DCX [and other car makers as well] bundling options [ just like others too !] ! I suppose this bundling of options helps the assembly time/cost efficient and makes a bundle of money too ? One of my high school classes that has stuck with me was the marketing class, in which the teacher/subject matter instilled that the Customer is King ! That term seems to be waning of late . I wonder if leather makes more money as compared to material ? DCX does have a relatively new non-leather material called YES fabric; that also is resistant to liquids/spills ! I stated months ago that I'd like to see at least the seats done in a hemp fabric or combination of hemp and say kevlar : which as some of you may know are two of the tougher-est materials in existence ! Hemp also has antimicrobial properties too !! Is renewable and also can/should be grown without pesticides/fungicides : better for our soil and environment ! !!

Re: C'mon, Dodge, throw us a bone

Yea, It definitely should be grown!
Does this new material breath? The R/T package on an R/T Charger uses vinyl and something else. Is this the material you are talking about?

Yes, is green too ! I mean the hemp;I mean mostly is green [comes in other colors and varieties: strenghths too. .oh good grief] !!! yet? No, I don't believe so ! On the Charger R/T with the vinyl combo, the material is what's called/termed a Perforated Preferred Suede Microfiber ! Yes Essentials, the fabric, is apparently used exclusively by DCX vehicles { but not on the Dodge Charger[ not sure why : would be a good idea you know !!]} and I'm glad of that ;are at the forefront of new stunning ideas ,design ,and materials !! http://www.yesessentials.com/YEW/YES...e+Vehicles.htm I tried copy & pasting from a Jeep page but the page has tech or a video spot which will not allow..so here : http://www.jeep.com/en/patriot/featu...yes_essentials .. shows a nice close up of the Yes Essentials fabric and brief description .
