Day 1 Ponderings

It's been 24 hours since I ordered my '09 R/T.
*sigh

What's the consensus regarding adding stripes, decals, wheels etc that aren't consistent with the heritage of MOPAR and the Challenger?

If I want black Crager wheels with lots of sidewall and I want to add grey hoodstripes to my black R/T will I be ridiculed?

Im not saying I do, but what's the rule of thumb about that sort of thing?

Re: Day 1 Ponderings

I've always felt that it's my car and my money. I'll do as I please. If someone else doesn't like it, well, too bad. Do what YOU want to do.

No rule of thumb. If it makes you feel good// Do it. Personally, I was looking at getting a 08 black SRT8, and was going to do something similar. Grey striping, with black & Chrome wheels. The black car would look good with the extra bling !!
I'm winding up with the Hemi Orange, which is fine with the aluminum rims.
My taste only, but, grey, or silver striping is the only striping I'd put on the black. Have fun with it// I'm sure you'll get a pleasant surprise; far from ridicule.

Re: Day 1 Ponderings

When I first ordered my 68 R/T, I ordered it stripe delete. 36 years later, i felt differently
and ordered a repro stripe and had it installed. It is your car. do as you want. Thats what makes all want different colours, options and combinations.
