Grand Prix 's were all two doors also. A Lemans was available as a 4 door or wagon, which is what a GTO is based on.

Re: Did the Challenger burst your Charger bubble?

Absolutely but I knew it would.

Almost pulled the trigger on a SRT Charger 3 years ago. Then I saw the Challenger for the 1st time. Knew right away once these started hitting the streets I would no longer be happy with the Charger and I did not want to take a huge depreciation hit on a 3 yr old car so I patiently waited.

Well my wait paid off as soon as they announced it was going to production and it was going to look just like the concept.

Very soon, I will be collecting my rewards!

Re: Did the Challenger burst your Charger bubble?

I am in a similiar situation but My charger lease happens to end around the time my 09 SRT Challenger should arrive. I will miss the Daytona and wish i could keep both in the stable. At least it may stay in the family with my nephew wanting to buy it as I hate to turn it in (garage kept 7K miles) Oh sad is me..but yet happy with the prospect of finally getting the challenger.

Re: Did the Challenger burst your Charger bubble?

My wife said if I make TSgt this year, she would let me trade her SXT in on a Challenger. I found out last month I made it, the hard part is what options I want on the R/T. She will get the Charger R/T. She likes driving my car better anyway. With the way things are going I would hate to get rid of a V8 vehicle.

Re: Did the Challenger burst your Charger bubble?

No bubble burst here . . .
My wife gets the 2006 Charger SRT8
My 2008 Challenger SRT8 is on the showroom floor for one more week.

People coming from 100 miles away to check it out.

And for those disappointed by double dealing dealers, my condolences.
My dealer made dreams come true. Check my newbie post.

Re: Did the Challenger burst your Charger bubble?

We got a Charger to go with our 1970 Charger, and we have no plans of giving it up. We want to get a new Challenger if Dodge will make a yellow, or possible the B5 classic R/T edition. They will go good with the '72 and '70 we have.

By the way many people hate the fact that it has 4 doors, but the way I see it you need witnesses when you are going 150mph.

Re: Did the Challenger burst your Charger bubble?

Burst mine big time... I had a really sweet Charger, but the Challenger is 1000x's better! I am so glad I got rid of the Charger and have the Challenger. With the Challnegr I feel i own a Muscle Car, with the Charger, I felt I was driving a Luxury Car.
