Dislike the pushbutton?

I don't care for the pushbutton start on my Challenger. Can this be changed to a key without a fob relatively easily without violating my warranty? Or are computers involved that can't be subverted?

Yes. Fingernail to the bottom of the button and pop it off.

Then start inserting the fob into the open hole. Without the fob? Not likely. Fob has the security stuff in it.

I believe he wants to put a traditional ignition switch with a real key in.

As I have grown older, I've learned that pleasing everyone is
impossible- but pissing everyone off, is a piece of cake.

Not happening..... The fob is married to your cars specific VIN number and must be in the car in order to start it. Sorry.....

BTW, I don't like the push button either, it's still in the plastic bag it came in when the dealer delivered the car.....

The keyless push button start is my favorate thing about my car and my wife's 13 Durango....no digging thru the pocket and sorting keys.....just walk up and put hand on the door handle and like magic the car unlocks!...then push the button and go!....this is George Jetson stuff to a 56 year old....LOL>....

I had one I put in my WRX, it turns out the button was a perfect fit where the cigarette lighter was....Still had to turn the ignition switch to run before pushing the button......I just don't mind using the fob as a key....
