Dodge calling Scat Pack, R/T 392?

I keep seeing 2017 Scat Pack models advertised both on sites like cars and autotrader as well as dealer sites as 2017 Dodge Challenger R/T 392. If you look at the window sticker they still say scat packs though. Anyone have any idea whats up? Is Dodge getting ready to drop the SP name?

Look at the source. Although sites like Cars and Autotrader should list things properly, they list how many thousands of makes and models.....

Are they Shaker models? Don't they, even Dodge, list those as the Shaker 392?

I noticed on Dodge.ca the 2017s are R/T 392, but the 2016s are still named Scat Pack. I was wondering what's up with that too.

I noticed too. Another odd thing is that the 2016 R/T SP and Shaker SP were $710 apart. Now the Shaker SP is $3000 more. The option sets don't seem to make sense either given what the base standard equipment is. Dodge Canada site is generally kind of bad. They should do themselves a favour and point their web designers at ford.ca.

I just ordered a R/T 392 and added the Scat Pack group.

That include:
- HID headlamp
- Black cap fuel
-Scat Pack strip
- Black grille surround (don't know how to name that in English)
- Sport steering Wheel

And yes, in Canada at least, it is named R/T 392 if you don't choose the Shaker model.

Félicitations à vous, Joel.

Dollar for dollar the Shaker seems to be handicapped in the Canadian market for 2017.

On the Dodge configurator for 2016 the SPS was called the R/T 392 Hemi Shaker, so that would be consistent with that naming.

Honestly, their trims should have been:

SXT
SXT Plus
R/T
R/T Plus
R/T Shaker
R/T 392
R/T 392 Shaker
SRT
Hellcat

From the start and Scat Pack should have been an appearance package.

Thanks.

About the Shaker (392), its MRSP is 3000$ more than the R/T 392 on Canadian market.
