Hopefully you didn't order one at $10k over, or did you? BTW, tell your dealer that "arriving shortly" really means "arriving in a few months".

And put a low deposit on it, because if someone offers more than you after your order is placed - goodbye silver Challenger.

I really wonder whether the stealership will be able to sell any of them at $10k over list. When you throw in taxes, gas guzzler tax and various other fees, that's what, over $55k? That might fly in SoCal or NorCal, but somehow I think they'll have to come off that in central NJ.

Re: dodge dealer just called

Don't hold your breath on the 6.4 Hemi convertible, from what I am hearing there will only be a R/T convertible. This really pisses me off becuase I am the first to have a deposit on a convertible at MSRP at my dealership and would be getting one for sure if they make it. Basically, if they don't I am not buying a Challenger. I will wait until 2010 and then pull out if no SRT8 convertible.

The 6.4 may be dead. Chrysler could not get it to work with MDS. It is now testing a 6.5 engine.

I thought the 6.4L was the engine of choice for the Superior Stock Dodge Challenger { aka Challenger SS =
}?
