Question Ears?

What the heck is the "Enhanced Accident Response Sysytem" (EARS)?? This is the first I have ever heard of this. Is this something similar to GM's OnStar system?

Re: Ears?

Here ya go ! I knew I had read this somewhere , did a bit of digging and found it here among all its other equipment :
Chicago 2008: Dodge Challenger SRT8 - LIVE REVEAL [w/VIDEO] - Autoblog

- Enhanced Accident Response System (EARS): Makes it easier for emergency personnel to see and reach occupants in the event of an accident by turning on interior lights and unlocking doors after air bag deployment. Also shuts off the flow of fuel to the engine

Re: Ears?

Thanks for that info! Makes much more sense now.

Nice to know the Chally will have such a system. Hopefully all these safety features get taken into account when the insurance talks start with my agent. Hahahaha...

Re: Ears?

Yes indeed , over 2 dozens of security features as seen in the linky I provided . Accounts for price and weight of the car , more than anyone is aware of ! Most think this is a car all about muscle , but as can be read - it is a lot more and well worth the money . A lot of thought has went into this rad ride , maybe soo much that they forgot to add my biggest pet-peeve - the wrap-around console for our Pistol Grip
No matter we shall have it one way or the other
