Now im not saying people shouldn't vote, i just agree with ASSA in that i wasnt going to vote for the lesser of two evils, and the man i really supported isn't even really in the running. I believe you should vote for who you support, and why stand in line for hours to cast a vote to someone who will probably barely get a percentage of the vote? Hah i knew that would start something here shoulda kept my mouth shut, but all you guys are saying its a freedom, and i guess i could say so is the right to not vote for someone you dont support...

I understand where you are coming from and I do think everyone should vote but for me it was being so busy with multiple deployments this year and living overseas without a good "home of record" and no compelling reason to get one.
Another Churchill quote for you all.
"The best argument against democracy is a five minute conversation with the average voter.”
Now all you other guys go vote...for the city mayor at least!
I know what you mean with 8 years in Germany and TDY's there have been times when I didn't vote as well, my issue is people who say "my vote don't count so I'm not going to vote". Like ASSA said "vote the lesser of two evils, but vote" or write in but atleast you voted..
Oh you miss read me...I don't advacate not voting. I expect everyone to excercise their right to vote and if they don't they have no right to complain.
Being a Vet I feel I helped to perserve that right and when people don't vote I feel that the sacrafices each of our Vets (and their dependents) has made is not appreciated
Okay, I think we're misreading one another.
I don't think we should vote the lesser of two evils. Why vote when you feel that either candidate isn't worthy of it? This is my position.
I do appreciate all of our troops, past and present for giving us this freedom, however, I choose to use my freedom NOT to vote. Neither one of them deserve it. No matter which one wins, I'll be complaining!
I believe you should vote for who you support, and why stand in line for hours to cast a vote to someone who will probably barely get a percentage of the vote?
I absolutely agree! I could go write in Steve's (my husband) name, but will it matter?
Just putting in my two cents worth. I work in the oilfield out in the Gulf of Mexico, so I don't think Obama would have been a good choice for me or the country and McCain well he is who he is. So I did vote for the lesser of two evils so to speak. Good luck to us all.
I think it is absolutely imperative to keep Obama out of office. Which is why the vote goes McCain. I don't look at it as voting for the lesser of two evils even though McCain isn't my favorite either.

SF18C, how close are you to Frankfurt? I connected through there on my way to Stockholm on Sunday.
Anyway, I voted for who I thought would do the best job. But what I really voted for was Chrysler to get my SRT off of "C" and in my driveway.
