Fat and Slow?

I love researching all things Challenger on the net and reading alot of peoples comments on videos, reviews etc and it is weird how.many people say its fat and slow. I own a 2012 SRT8 and slow is not what I would use to describe it. I wouldnt say the RT was slow either. And fat? Huh? Its a freaking muscle car, not a Mazda Miata. Just something I noticed and kinda irks me.

LOL, thought you were talking about me.

As for a Challenger R/T or SRT8 - I would definitely NOT say they area fat OR slow. My RT can really get your attention if your not careful. Yes, there are a few other faster, more nimble rides out there but not very many of them look as good as the Challenger.

It just shows the reviewers have no concept of what a large muscle car is all about - what a shame.

Sorry, but I'll take a curvy Scarlet Johansson over a dime a dozen, meth head, street walker anyday...

But to each their own.

fat and slow......people are retarded. Its a big car...so what? Why can't a fast car be a big car? Slow? Uhhh, im pretty sure it can lay rubber no problem, no i am positive it can. The R/T is faster than the majority of cars on the road...the SRT8 is faster than more of the majority and then supercharge it....fagetaboutit. All because it isn't the fastest of the 3 american muscle cars from the factory (might I add its by a marginal amount) doesnt mean it's slow. DO i necessarily agree with the SRT8 pricetag......not really. Do i think the R/T price tag is spot on? I think its a stellar value for an 8 cylinder and i think its great that dodge offers 2 size 8's.....the competition does not.

Point and case....they all haul ass. a car that can pretty much blow past 100 without batting an eye is a fast car....not mention is has killer looks and i find that most challenger owners buy their cars because they are just the coolest styled car on the road!

+1 ^^this. A little bit of weight is just plain sexy, not to mention I've beaten cars weighing a lot less than me..
Challengers are definitely one of the most underrated cars around.

All over youtube comments, or any automobile website's comment section for that matter. It's mostly mustang and/or import fanboys.

Hahaha,, well i just read a few of the fellow members posts in which i agree with regardless of belief as i know we are all here for one reason. knowledge.

95% of the cars that give me the "look" are simply in one place the rearview… Simple as that. I know that i am 20 years old with a car putting out right above 400 hp to the wheels, and looking damn good doing it (hehhe) but yeah.. Don't mean to err burst any bubbles… But yeah when i put my foot to the floor theres no word that describes the feeling that entails besides well bliss.

BE SAFE. Run hard. Have fun.
