Thumbs up First Drive

Here is a video of a guy taking his friends for a ride in a 2009 SRT Challenger.

If you get past the music, there is some goods sounds of the 6.1 accelerating.

Re: First Drive

I'm on wireless so it was a bit choppy but:

at one point I thought I heard the driver say 6.4 in 10 or 11. I also got the impression he's "leasing it" from the company? Nice video, gotta question his judgement in blasting thru a residential area; not a good advert.

Re: First Drive

Here's another video that I found that was posted on uk.youtube.com of the 2008 SRT. I don't think it was posted here before. It has some good engine sounds (without music).

In stock form, it is the best sounding car I have heard in many years.

Re: First Drive

To me it sounds just like my Charger. I really like the sound of the Charger SRT stock exhaust system. A lot like the old hemi mufflers they put on the late sixties cars...a "sleeper" until you open the throttle up and then folks are wondering if they are legal.

The Mopar Perf exhaust system for the LX cars sounds really good too; its definitely louder than the stock setup. I am thinking about replacing my car's system with that one. I am sure the MP repalcement exhaust for the Challenger will sound just as good.
