A full compliment of gauges for our Challengers!

Yeah, maybe being a little picky here, but I wish the cars came with a full set up of gauges straight from the factory. I realize you can pull some of the information from the EVIC, but a full set of gauges you could see at a glance would be handy. The gauge offerings now aren't to "S"treet "R"acing "T"echnololgy. The only one on the dash is the water temp. Granted, thats important, but oil temp and oil pressure are just as important. A factory optional A-pillar gauge package would be nice. Or maybe some mounted at the front of the console under the radio? Maybe you could pick your gauges as well. Oil temp, Oil pressure, Vacuum, Trans Temp ( for the automatics), Volt Meter, Fuel Pressure, Air/Fuel ratio etc...Some nice full sweep analog with the matching white face would be pretty cool. Obviously electric gauges. Wouldn't want oil pressure lines running into the interior of the car. Anyone ever think of mounting gauges to the cowl? Kinda like the old school drag racers? I had some mounted on my 68 Camaro. Looked pretty cool and all business but unsure if it would look good on our cars. dnot get me wrong, I love my car and the interior. Dodge went all out with the brakes, suspension and drivetrain to make it a street legal hot rod, but complimenting those things with a gauge package to moniter your hot rod would be a nice finishing touch. Just my thoughts........

I realize they aren't stock. I built the car and put the gauges there. It was just a reference picture to the mounting of them on the console as well as the cowl. I know I can purchase the gauges. Just thought it would be a nice added touch to be able to click off the "gauge package" option on the checklist when ordering your car

I agree about the gauges, of the 4 we have, a speedo and a tach are necessity, a temp gauge, yep, need that one too, but the gas gauge I don't count as a systems monitor. Yeah, I get the EVIC. But a nice set of gauges would really compliment the car. I think there are some that would be willing to pay for this. Now, they may put them in the new $RT whateveryoucallit coming out. Yes, less appliance, and more automobile would be good.

But I don't think they will redo the dash for ( insert your number here) 2 to 3 years, so it's prolly a moot point. As they say, it is, what it is.

I know one of the vendors on here sells single & double gauge pods that replaces the spot where the useless sunglasses storage is located in the overhead console.

Yep, that must be the one. My useless sunglasses holder holds my spare sunglasses so when I forget my good pair, I'm not snow blind. Lol.

Neat idea tho.

I love that sunglasses holder...I compete with the bimmers with that accessory. "watch me don my sunglasses at the stop light from my OVERHEAD CONSOLE B!TCHES" - hahaha...in my mind only of course.
