Re: gas....paid $3.58 today

I was excited to see premium yesterday for 4.15. Seems like just a couple weeks ago I was paying 4.75 for it.

Of course, diesel is still 4.80 - which is why our truck only leaves the driveway when we need to take the dog with us.

And no, it's not my husband's car.

Re: gas....paid $3.58 today

Premium got up to $4.35 (3 weeks ago) here in SE Michigan. I paid $3.83 last week for premium. Drop in gas price still doesn't match the drop in crude oil price.

Re: gas....paid $3.58 today

3.85 here too funny they have us thinking what a bargin after the bump up past 4.00.
This fall and winter it will be back to 4.00 I fear. This seems to be the tactic the last few years surge, then drop, then creep up slowly.

Re: gas....paid $3.58 today

I have been seeing $3.75 a gallon... We already down about 17% from peak price on crude oil, but the price at the pump has only dropped about 7.5%. I think if the price of crude gets down to $100 or just below, we can have hope of the price at the pump dropping below $3.00, but not much below.

Get some of the speculation out of the market and have the dollar regain some value against the EURO and things will improve.
