General questions and opinions needed regarding a new SXT.
Hey guys, new member here. I am thinking about getting a '12 or '13 SXT as a daily driver. While I'd love to go with the Hemi, it just doesn't make much sense with gas prices fluctuating like they do. My questions are...
1) How is the SXT as a daily driver?
2) What modifications can be done (if any) to maximize HP and are they worth it?
3) Does anyone regret getting the six cylinder instead of the eight?
4) What are your likes/dislikes/complaints about the SXT?
Any and all thoughts/opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
If you are asking those questions you already know you will regret getting it....don't be afraid of the HEMI, I get average of 29mpg on the highway in my 2013 R/T M6...

1) How is the SXT as a daily driver? It's a great daily driver
2) What modifications can be done (if any) to maximize HP and are they worth it? When diablo gets tuning for the 3.6L there will be lots...right now not much. Worth is relative to the owner
3) Does anyone regret getting the six cylinder instead of the eight? Some have, many have not.
4) What are your likes/dislikes/complaints about the SXT? love the price, looks, economy, looks, I dislike all the attention I get while driving, love the looks, RWD in snow can be a pain, love the looks
Any and all thoughts/opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
Hope that helps...

I have a '12 SXT Plus as my daily driver & I luv it! The 6 cylinder is great for gas mileage and more than peppy for almost any situation. I bought mine specifically to be my daily driver so gas mileage was paramount. In all fairness there are occasions when I WISHED I had a Hemi (c0cky Rustangs & 'Maro's) but my wallet is happier NOT having the tickets I would have incurred during the schooling. I guess it all boils down to what YOU as a driver want. Each persons situation is different. Just by 1 & luv on it!
AWESOME, it's my daily driver, very comfortable, plenty of cargo and passenger space, great infotainment system, with winter tires I plan to use it 12 months a year. No regrets...but I already have a V8 in the garage. The 6 cylinder is plenty fast, the only thing that isn't awesome is the sound that it makes. It does not sound like a burbling HEMI because it isn't. This is a plus feature if you're looking for some peace and quiet in your commute, FWIW. My mustang sounds like a war zone inside compared to this. Other than that, the V6 Challenger definitely kicks plenty.

You will want to buy the Super Sport track package so get all the bells and whistles with it.
1) How is the SXT as a daily driver? A blast and just fine
2) What modifications can be done (if any) to maximize HP and are they worth it? Get a K and N Free Flow Air Filter in the Box.
3) Does anyone regret getting the six cylinder instead of the eight? Not at all...the HP readings are actually above 307 mine with K and N is 323 RWHP on the Dyno. The gearing in the pumpkin ball rear with Super Sport makes this six a beast.....with the automatic being faster than the stick......it'll scare you.
4) What are your likes/dislikes/complaints about the SXT? None, I've had some minor stuff found here with everyone...
Your going to love the car...remember Super Sport Track Package with spoiler they look really sharp, will turn heads.....and for a daily drive a great ride. Welcome to a great sight with great people here!

Hey guys, new member here. I am thinking about getting a '12 or '13 SXT as a daily driver. While I'd love to go with the Hemi, it just doesn't make much sense with gas prices fluctuating like they do. My questions are...
1) How is the SXT as a daily driver? use mine as a dd, with it hitting 5k on odo in 4 months, and the oil change light rest, I have the detune v6 power back. 6.4 seconds 0-60 today
2) What modifications can be done (if any) to maximize HP and are they worth it? not much, but the trinity folks are working on it.
3) Does anyone regret getting the six cylinder instead of the eight? Happy with my 6. I also have 2 other dodge v8's
4) What are your likes/dislikes/complaints about the SXT? turns heads, magnet for damage from the uncaring, park out away from everyone. I did a 1100 mile trip this past weekend, comfortable seats. my only regret was not getting leather seats.
Any and all thoughts/opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance!
