Getting back

Just a thought that we should start sending these threads to some of the sleezy dealers that have been tacking on the extra $$ on the Challengers that they have sitting around.

Maybe let them know what we are saying about them.

Who knows, maybe they will come to their senses and realize how much business they are losing.

Re: Getting back

They better wise up soon, because now that the mass produced lines, SE, R/T, and SRT's are hitting the floors, a lot of articles are being written about them, and some of them are not that favourable. I don't care, I'll still be ordering my R/T because I am a die-hard fan, but the masses out there may have a hard time deciding to get one.
These dealers burn too many of the die hard fans, and bad news is reported about these dealerships, than these cars will be on their lots for a while!

Re: Getting back

Well I dont think its as simple cut and dry as that.

There's plenty of other dealerships out there charging over sticker for the "hot" item.

It can be prius's, GT500's, Z06's and ZR1's, etc.

If its a hot item, the dealership or seller will try to make money on it, nothing wrong with that, maybe i'm a bit desensitized to it after being in the car business my whole life (family has owned a dealership for 27 years and i'm currently a salesman at an unaffiliated dealership but same brand, Dodge FTW heh heh), and while i personally dont care either way, i can see why some owners tack on a bit extra and why some dont.

All in all the profit margins on most car sales is minimal at best, so they want to make as much as they can and if Ford can overcharge on a mustang, i feel they probably think that they can do the same on an SRT Challenger. its neither right nor wrong, but its their call if they want to sit on the car or not, but at the same time they dont want to sell the car for a loss, so its a slippery slope that can go either way for the dealer.
