General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
I had a 2009 Challenger Rt that I traded up towards a
2012 Challenger Rt with Mopar exterior package last Nov (1 year ago}
As of now I love the car butttt I know I trade in my cars every 2 or 3 years.(like new cars}
Seeing what the SPY pictures of the future Cuda will look like ,I
think I will pass ,since it looks a lot like a Mitsubishi type of a car.
Don't think I will be interested in a Stang or a Camaro since they are all over the place.
Don't really see anything I would want too buy.
I am feeling that there will be a Short year for the 2014 Challengers since the 2015s will be out in early 2014
for many of the Fiat Chrysler products.
Damm I was hoping too get at least 3 years out of my 2012 Challenger butt it looks like
I will have to start looking for the Final year of the Challenger in late 2013,,,geeee that's less then a year from now.............................................JQ
Naaaaa not really into buying a $50,000 car
I think a $35000- $40,000 car is fine.
I feel we should know whats doing on with the future of the Challengers sometime soon.
Just have to hate having too look for another Challenger Plus with Mopar exterior package again in the next few months,,,,kindaaaa sucksss.............JQ
Nope Not really lol
Just blows looking at whats going to be available in the near future on what
most dealers will be selling.
Yep I can wait and see what is available to buy in 2015,but looking at the Cuda makes me
kinda yawn at whats coming from Fiat Chrysler.
So its still leaves the 2014 Challenger RT with Mopar Ex package
But I really hoped there would be a 2015 butttt I really don't think so..............JQ

If you'd buy the $50k at year end (I paid $37.5k for my 2010 SRT) and hold onto it for an extra year I bet it's cheaper than your 35-40k car. Just sayin'.
Resume Speed has posted yesterday that the 2014 Challenger is a GO and is a full model year run. No other details yet. I am going to guess it remains mostly unchanged with 2015 seeing a MAJOR refresh since it will be on a new platform by then supposedly. And yes, rumor has it the Barracuda will be a SRT.
For you new guys JQ is a serious car collector $$. He has six figure cars like Imelda Marcos has shoes. He has a couple Chevelles that are worth well over 200K. I am sure if he wanted a SRT he could buy a fleet and keep them in his indoor garage in Manhattan.

I guess I feel if you love the Challenger as it is and you have a 2012 why not just keep the car you already have? If you have a 35k car and are considering buying another 35k car you are way above a SRT8 anyway right?
I, myself, am probably going to get a TorRed RT Classic if the rumors are true that color will return in May. I currently have an 09 SE though..
