General Challenger DiscussionThis section contains general discussion about the Dodge Challenger. If it does not fit into a more specific area, it probably belongs in here. (Dodge Challenger General Discussion)
There haven't been any legit images of the Challenger Replacement so I wouldn't discount it just yet. And I got my loaded 2013 SRT8 for $45k... Ditch the moonroof, nav, and HK and you're near $40k. However, even at $50k it's worth every penny. And I've owned a lot of cars.
I might be ready for a 2014. I still have my 08 and I have a little over 13,000 miles on it already. Grizz likes to spend the winter in caves.

Or B5? Hey a guy can hope can't he. I know RS didn't list it but I would get in line.
My take on the Challenger Cuda thing is based of the Ralph Giles comment that " the Challenger would not become irrelevant". Same platforms so why couldn't there be both? Ala Javelin and AMX. You cover a lot of pricing tiers as well. (or maybe that should be pricing tears?)

If they don't shrink Challenger much, it's possible. Even on the GM forums people will readily admit that a Camaro is not a 4 person car, but the Challenger is. Chrysler has poached a niche that the Chevy Chevelle and Monte Carlo used to have. Why leave 30,000 sales a year behind if it can be prevented?
The 2015 Challenger will reportedly share a platform with a new car from SRT, the aforementioned Barracuda. Engine choices for the Barracuda could include a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8, which would give SRT a product to counter the Ford Shelby GT500 and the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1.
Depending upon how Dodge positions (and updates) the Challenger, such a two-car strategy may make sense. When it comes to track days, the Dodge isn’t our pony car of choice, creating an opportunity for the rumored Barracuda.

I'm guessing that beginning in 2015 & moving forward, the Barracuda, Challenger, 300 & Charger will share the same platform. SRT will have the Barracuda & Dodge will have the Challenger up to the R/T. Having said this, I feel that the opportunity to get the 6.2L in a Challenger (large Challenger at that) will be in 2014, because it'll then move to the Barracuda, which will be smaller & lighter.

Im betting the 15 Challenger/Cuda is going to be a very different car and not based on the LX chassis at all (they have to keep that around a while longer because of cop cars/300 ect). If you are waiting for some reason or another, you had better jump soon because I think the 14 will be the last cool looking Challenger. Any new Challenger may have great performance but they will not be "man sized" or look anything like the cars we own today.
