Help me MOPAR owners....you're my only hope...

Ladies and gents of the forum, I come to you now asking for support and you're help.

I was a Charger Daytona man when they first appeared. I feel in love with the mean look, and the idea of a "modern muscle car". I was already to buy one...that's when the bombshell hit.....we'll call it A.C (after challenger).

When A.C hit, I forgot what the Daytona was and swore to be the first on my block to own the automotive genius of the Challenger. I poured over this board like a frustrated crack addict looking for the next score, trying to learn when this beaut would be on the market. But alas....internet conjecture, rumors and the such has left me hollow inside.

My Euphoria is leaving, I'm going to Dodge Dealerships looking at the Daytona's and wondering if/when the Challenger will ever be made official.

I can't afford to buy the Daytona now, and turn around in 2 years or so upgrade to the Challenger.

What do I do??!!! I know the second i sign for the Daytona, the Challenger will come out...that's my kinda luck!!

Re: Help me MOPAR owners....you're my only hope...

This was exactly my point in the "Is the Magic Lost?" thread I started. People are going to start to lose interest and move on without some sort of hope. Fortunately for DCX though, you are looking in the same family. Of course others are looking at different makes altogethor.

Yes I am very disappointed that nothing has been officially announced but there has been so much positive feedback, I can't see it being anything other than a matter of time.

I almost dropped a deposit down on a SRT8 Charger around Xmas. When I saw the Challenger, I knew right then that I would never be satified with my Charger if the Chally was built. So I am waiting.... and waiting...

But I will not wait forever...

My addvise is, If your sure they will produce the Challenger as soon as you sign for a new Charger, Then go out and buy your Charger today. That way I can get my Challenger!

41husk...

I like your way of thinking...heh...heh.

kirndog...

All I can say is that as much media attention as the 'Challenger' has been receiving within the past few weeks which allude to the fact that it will be built, you just might regret your decision by making a premature commitment...although the Bright Silver Metallic 'Charger SRT-8' I looked at over at my local Chrysler/Dodge dealer was certainly a great looking 'ride'.

Hey, if you can guarantee they will buld the Challenger if you plunk down the money for a Daytona, maybe we should all pitch in for a Daytona deposit for you!

Re: Help me MOPAR owners....you're my only hope...

If you go to www.chryslerweblog.com and read the first story it says that DCX is "WAITING" to see what GM does about the production of the Camaro. This can be a good thing. I think if GM waits til 2009 or 2010 we will see the Challenger asap so as to steal the market quickly. If GM says "NO CAMARO", I think we have to wait another year til DCX figures out why GM canned the Camaro. I think if GM cancels the Camaro it will be because of financial reasons, not because no one will buy one. Either way, DCX "I WANT A 392 HEMI Challenger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE. BEG BEG BEG BEG

Why in the hell would DCX look at what GM is doing? Look where they are at financially. I'm getting more and more pissed off hearing stuff like this. They are gonna wait too long and miss out on a lot of business. I just dont understand this BS and its frustrating me to no end. WAKE THE F UP DCX!

Re: Help me MOPAR owners....you're my only hope...

heck if GM cancels the new camaro it shouldn't be too hard for dcx to figure out !!! I would see that as smart for GM because they can see that the 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept is the clear winner..has all the right looks or 90% of The Right Stuff !! so, if gm can figure that out dcx certainly should know what they gots !!!!!!! seems to me that the only right thing for gm to do with their Camaro Concept ..would be to donate it to Mr. George Jetson !!

Re: Help me MOPAR owners....you're my only hope...

What I said about the Challenger holds true for the Camaro; you have to see it in person to appreciate it. Don't get me wrong, I am a Mopar Man down to my Pentistar Gotchies, But the Camaro is a serious competitor if GM plays it right! Drop a LS7 in and price it under $ 40,000 and people will buy! One second after the announcement of a LS7 option and DCX better start turning "crate" motors into optional motors!!
