Highway 61 concept model

First of all, I LOVE my new Highway 61 concept model! I really like all the detail they put into it.

Next...where's the friggin gas cap? They have the tanks and the filler neck under the car, but NO gas cap!

Lastly, how much did you pay for yours?...Did anyone get as raped as I did? (I paid $62.00, shipping included.) I bought this one because there's no other quality concept Challenger to look at. (I did see another die-cast model, but it wasn't of the great quality of the Highway 61.) IE, the new Camaro has regular models, t-shirts, etc. to look at, but NOT the Challenger.
But you must admit, GM is the King of Promotion. They make you believe this is the car you WANT. They've always known how to sell.

Re: Highway 61 concept model

I paid $54 (includes shipping) for mine. It is an awesome replica. I agree with you about the new Camaro - they have so much more memorabilia available. I even saw a plastic model kit for the Camaro. Where's the Challenger kit?

Oh, y-ahhh the gas cap or inlet : try lifting up on 'HEMI' . .you know where the rear license plate is affixed : as it is in { Heaven } the real authentic 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept !!!

Re: Highway 61 concept model

I guess Highway 61 neglected to make that part of the model NOT move, so no gas cap area on the concept model.

Re: Highway 61 concept model

AMT was supposed to be making a Challener Concept model, but Racing Chumps...er...Champions has decided to sell off some of the AMT/MPC tooling as well as disco most of the plastic and diecast model lines and change their name to Learning Curve while selling mainly baby products and kids toys. Revell has started selling a 1/25ish scale Kyosho Mini-Z clone with the Taurus and Monte Carlo stock car, Current Mustang, and Challenger Concept Bodies. The paintjob on the Challenger is a little goofy and I have heard the chassis and electronics supposedly suck, but I haven't bought one to find out yet.

Re: Highway 61 concept model

To answer ragamuffin toys are all I got right now. The Maisto model doesn't have enough detail for me. When I get my Chally I'm not going to buy the hat and the jacket. I'll probably give my toy car to my kids!
