Hubby was VERY clear about wanting an SE. Obviously she doesn't know what she's talking about...or is saying mid 30's so that when we come in and they say 29K, we'll think it's a steal.

Mid $30's is probably for an R/T and $29 is accurate for the 2009 SE ! Remember the option pkgs, that dealers want to pump up final price and thus pump up salesperson's commish ! Would be good to impliment my idea; to enable customers to by-pass dealerships and buy online/or direct from The New Chrysler's Headquarters and from the west coast Pacifica Design facility:that should not be shut down and moved to Detroit !!!

Well, dealerships aren't stupid..........As they know that the Challenger will be very hot for the first 12-18 months. So, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see mainly well equipped S/E's and R/T's. Then as volumes level off more lessor equipped models will follow..................Really, most will be wise to order cars directly from Chrysler especially if you are looking for a base S/E.

Re: This is HILARIOUS!

The dealer was probably being honest (as honest as a car dealership can be) about the price. They just didn't mention that the sticker price would be inflated with an add on sticker to reflect the dealer's additional profit (charging all that the market allows).

Re: This is HILARIOUS!

I think what he means is that you can custom order a car from Dodge (through a dealer) and not have to settle for a loaded model on his lot.
