Hi, need some suggestions. I recently installed a Homelink into a non-Homelink equipped B5 RT Classic. Got it working fine; but, I also have a 13 SRT Charger. It also has a factory Homelink. I programmed the SRT when I bought it 2 months ago, and it worked fine. After I programmed the Challenger, the SRT Homelink stopped working. I reprogrammed it and now it works and the Challenger no longer works. Garage door does have rolling codes, but I used the same remote to program both cars. Looks like I can have Homelink in one or the other, but not both at the same time. I live alone, so it's hard to get a helper to program both at the same time. Any ideas? Tom

If I recall the first step deletes all codes. SO u need to start at step 1 and program the first car then DI the second car without doing the delete all codes step. I did my two that way w a two door garage using two 3 button remotes from liftmaster
Sounds like you must be erasing the prior programming in the door opener itself. Read your door opener instructions and make sure you are using the instructions to ADD a new remote, not clear the opener.
Also my opener will only remember a set number of remotes. The next one sync'd to the door erases the oldest one. I ran into this problem when I programmed the truck opener, it deleted the first remote that came with the door opener.

The car learns the frequency from the hand held transmitter, not from the ceiling mounted unit in the garage. I have four car currently opening my two garage doors. Follow the instructions and you hold the hand held near the home link to copy the signal.
I had the same issue you are having. What I found out is that most garage door openers have a limit to the number of transmitters that can be programmed to it. This includes any handheld tramsmitters that came with the opener and any cars you have programmed. I think you have hit that limit. You need to wipe clean the memory in the opener and then reprogram the cars and any handheld tramsmitters up to the maximum number your opener can handle.
Hope this helps.

Ok, if anyone else has this issue, I found the solution. I tried parking one around the corner while progaramming the other and that didn't work. I then tried programming one right after the other, and, that didn't work. The answer is that you have to erase the codes on both cars first by holding down buttons one and three on each car for about 15-20seconds; then, program the first car on whatever button u choose (1,2,or 3) and keep holding down the transmitter button (do not let the button up) and go to the second car and then program it (using whatever button u choose), then let the transmitter button up and go to the garage and push the reset button on the opener. Within 30 seconds, go to car #1 and push whatever button u set it up on twice for about 2-3 second each, which will cause the garage door to open (or close, depending what position it was in when u pushed the transmitter to program the buttons). Immediately go to the other car and push the button u set it up on twice and it will cause the door to open or close. Both cars are now set. Both cars have to be set within the 30 seconds after hitting the reset button on the opener, or you'll have to start over.
Hope this helps if anyone else runs into this problem. Tom
